INTRODUCTION:

A tower is a tall self supporting structure , taller than wide often by a significant margin .

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

 TO CONSTRUCT “A TALLEST AND LIGHTEST TOWER” USING STRAWS AND CELLO TAPE.

RULES & REGULATIONS:

BASIC RULES:

• DURATION OF THE EVENT: 1.5 HOURS.
• MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE ORGNIZERS AS FOLLOW:
• 100 STRAWS
• CELLO TAPE (FOR JOINING THE STRAWS)
• CUTTING BLADE.(CUTTING OF STRAW IS ALLOWED)
• NO JOINT SHOULD EXCEED 6 MEMBERS
• DIMENSION OF STRAW     i. DIAMETER=5mm
                                               ii. LENGTH=19.8cm

• NO OTHER MATERIALS WILL BE ALLOWED FOR CONSTRUNCTION OF TOWER.
• TOWER SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST 3 BASE POINTS.
• TOWER SHOULD STAND ON ITS BASE ON THE LEVEL PLATFORM.
• MINIMUM HEIGTH OF TOWER SHOULD NOT BE LESS THAN 75cm.

 GENERAL RULES:

1. Shape: Structure should be satisfying the above constraints.

2. Once the structure is weighed, you are not allowed to modify your  structure in any way.   

3. If the structure fails to satisfy any of the above constraints then it will be summarily rejected.

4. Any team that is not ready at the time specified will be disqualified immediately

5. Judges' decision shall be final and binding on all.

6. The organizers reserve all rights to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit.

    Change in rules, if any will be highlighted on the website.

TEAM SPECIFICATION:

Maximum 3 participants per team (single participant is allowed).Students from different educational institutes can form a team.

All students with a valid identity card of their respective educational institute are eligible to participate.
